B&Q - Beckton

18 Aug 2009 14:38 bhups Had a delivery from this B&Q branch on some large kitchen units they stock, you'd think it would be a simple job for them to deliver the items from their store down the road to my house, but you'd be wrong! The delivery men arrived and informed me of 2 missing plinths. I assumed this is all that would be missing, BIG MISTAKE! When I checked the order a whole 500mm wall cabinet was also missing, so I rushed to the store to report it. You'd think I'd get my missing item from the store handed to me, but you'd be WRONG! According to them because they’d counted the correct items leaving the store I must have had my cabinet, and was asked to return to the store after confirming it was definitely missing. I rechecked at home and the cabinet was definitely missing. On my next visit I was told they would investigate the CCTV footage to check if the cabinet left the store (like this was going to help me!), at which point I was tired of this sh!t and wrote a email to the complaints department, after which I got a call from the store saying the cabinet did definitely leave the store and I’d need to raise it with their head office, at which point I headed down to the store fuming and a big "I'm not leaving the store without the cabinet I paid for.." argument later I finally got it handed to me. IF YOU HAVE TO GET A DELIVERY FROM B&Q -BECKTON CHECK ITS ALL THERE YOURSELF NO MATTER WHAT THE DELIVERY MEN CONFIRM.
